Melissa K. Epstein
Melissa K. Epstein has integrated her understanding of technology, law and deal making into a successful career in the pharmaceuticals and financial services industries. She is currently a principle at Remedii LLC and is focused on building a portfolio of board roles where she can assist leadership teams that can benefit from her broad integrative experience.
From 2013 - 2015 she was Head of Digital Medicines and Senior Director of M&A at Novartis AG. From 2010 - 2013 she served as Vice President of Global Technology & Intellectual Property at Barclays Capital where she was responsible for advising executive management on matters related to technology, intellectual property, anti-trust law, securities law and acquisition strategies. Previously, she was Senior Counsel of Global Intellectual Property at MetLife where she was responsible for overseeing and providing general business advice on technology matters, developing MetLife’s overall IP strategy, as well as advising on significant tort and intellectual property litigation strategies. Earlier in her career, Melissa worked at the New York Law firms White & Case and Kaye Scholer where she specialized in intellectual property and securities litigation and prosecution of international biotechnology patent portfolios. Melissa received a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and has a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Political Science. She is admitted to practice in New York, Texas and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
